In the AHL he has two goals and six points in 18 games, and is a -6. Hard to imagine him playing past this season when he's not even producing like a top six forward in the AHL.Leave a comment:

I guess this is a decent signing for the Ducks for $1M. I have to laugh at people who think with the right line mates and playing time and all that, Heatley can get ~30 goals again. He's pretty clearly passed that part of his career, and sniffing 20 goals would be a success for him. It was like when people thought Spezza would make Cheechoo a 30 goal scorer again. Heatley signs 1 year deal
Forward Dany Heatley has signed a one-year contract with the Anaheim Ducks, the team announced Wednesday. Financial details were not disclosed but it reportedly is for $1 million, according to TSN's Darren Dreger.
