  • "I'd still be playing if Boudreau wasn't there" - Selanne

    http://www.thehockeynews.com/blog/teemu ... cks-coach/

Essentially – and despite calling Boudreau a “nice man” – Selanne threw his former coach in Anaheim under the bus, drove over him with it, backed up, and repeated the process seven or eight times. In the most shocking statement, Selanne said he’d have returned to the NHL for a 22nd season if Boudreau wasn’t still the Ducks’ coach.

How much longer could he possibly have gone? He was just OK last year...

I'm taking Teemu's translated quotes with a grain of salt. Finnish is, after all, the single most effed up language on the planet.

I think it was definitely an over-exaggeration to how much he desliked Budreau. Or, as thedaigle1 said, it was a miscommunication.
