Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Jack Johnson has been suspended for three games, without pay, for an illegal check to the head of Carolina Hurricanes forward Jiri Tlusty during NHL Game No. 176 in Columbus on Tuesday, Nov. 4, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 7:31 of the third period. Johnson was assessed a minor penalty for illegal check to the head.
