    Season series: The Ottawa Senators have won seven straight games against the Washington Capitals since the 2011-12 season. The Senators have outscored the Capitals 24-11 in those seven games, and Washington has one point (0-6-1).
    Ottawa is 3-2-1 since Dave Cameron was named coach. Forward Mike Hoffman scored twice in the Senators 6-2 win against the Anaheim Ducks on Friday, and leads the team with 10 goals. Hoffman ranks ninth on the team among forwards in power-play ice time at 1:39 per game. Ottawa is 7-9-3 on the road.
    Washington defeated the New Jersey Devils 4-0 on Saturday and is 6-0-2 in its past eight games to move into third place in the Metropolitan Division. The Capitals have allowed 16 goals in eight games.

          I thought the Sens had a good game, ruined by a hot goalie.

          The Beagle goal I just wish Cowen would have hauled him down for a penalty though...

            Andy could have been more aggressive on that play too.

            The Sens-Devils game was worse than this one. The Devils really deserved that one and I feel that last night was karma. Ottawa is gonna lose games like these and that's why they gotta cash in on must-wins against crappy teams

              Yeah they didn't play bad. Ideally some more traffic and net presence would be nice in the third period. The first was their best period, the third was pretty good and the second, I thought, was pretty even play.
