The Ottawa Senators are still considering giving Todd Bertuzzi one more shot at resuming a career in the NHL in the form of a professional tryout offer.
According to Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun, Senators general manager Bryan Murray will make the final call on whether or not to sign Bertuzzi and if Murray does give the veteran winger the green light he could potentially start skating with the team’s AHL affiliate, the Binghamton Senators, sometime next week.
On Monday, Garrioch reported that Bertuzzi’s agent reached out to the Senators among other teams with interest in returning to the NHL after sitting out the first half of the season.
