Oh wow, what a huge deal! Have to think the Jets win this one pretty handedly.

I think one of Bogosian/Myers will put it together with their new teams, and it will be a win for that team

Sigh of relief. You guys had me paranoid that Ottawa might actually kick tires on this one. Glad it happened to two teams I couldn't care less about.

          Now THAT is a blockbuster!

What's the bet that Trade Deadline day will mostly be spent talking about this deal today instead?

This will definitely be the biggest deal of the season. You have a ton of youth and potential going each way.

I think value wise, it favours Winnipeg. But Buffalo is in a good position to do this trade. They trade two good prospects and a first-round pick and their prospect pool barely flinches. Myers has potential, but it's a good swap as him and Bogosian both definitely need a change of scenery. If Kane lives up to his potential and Bogosian turns it around, watch out. Add in McDavid or Eichel and if some of their prospects pan out....they'll be a powerhouse for sure.

Yeah, that's true. Buffalo drafts McEichel, signs or trades for a starting goalie (or Enroth makes the final push) and the rebuild is pretty much over. Give their kids a year or two and they'll be a great team. The D looks great with Bogosian, Ristolainen, and Zadorov and the forward ranks look promising as well with Ennis, Girgensons, Kane, McEichel, Moulson, and Stewart.

I guess that's three centres and three wingers though.. Maybe Ennis gets traded for a right winger?

                  They traded Enroth today

I think they'll need to make some veteran defensemen signing as a group of young dmen don't really pan out (Ottawa...Dallas). But I think they'll be fine. Their forward corps could be one of the tops in the league

Wow, what a dumb move. Enroth has a ton of potential. Sucks for my fantasy team too, he'll get fewer starts behind Lehtonen :(

Edmonton just lost Hall for a while. Buffalo needed to compete with that

Actually I completely forgot about Reinhart and Grigorenko too. There's no way Buffalo can roll a centre depth of McEichel-Reinhart-Ennis-Girgensons-Grigorenko. Can any of them play wing? They should all project to be 1C or 2C, no?

Buffalo never had plans for Enroth being their number one guy. Not really sure who their starter will be down the road as Neuvirth and Lindback are pending UFAs (just like Enroth). The expectation in Dallas is for Enroth to steal Lehtonen's job down the stretch or at least light a fire thereunder.

Enroth just doesn't look to me like he'll be a #1. Maybe in several years but not now.

As was already pointed out, Neuvirth and Lindback are both UFA and I assume only 1 gets the backup contract next year while a proper goalie comes in. With Kane, Bogo and likely McDavid, they could make waves as early as next season, especially given how weak this division is (looking squarely at us and Toronto).

Ah, didn't realize Enroth was UFA. Trade makes more sense now. Can anyone comment on all that centre depth? Are all of those five guys projected to be top-six players, and can any play wing?
