1-0 Canes, another extremely weak goal by Lehner

A wild sequence where Chiasson and Lazar each had great opportunities to score, and the puck somehow stayed out. Then Michalek got robbed by Ward on a breakaway.

      Condra scores, and it's 1-1

Shane Prince got his first NHL point, with a sweet pass to Karlsson

A great debate going on here on the TSN Panel...Stone or Hoffman?

Hoffman has 19 even strength goals and a great plus-minus. Stone makes players around him better. Both are playing amazing hockey as rookies, and weren't really considered blue-chip prospects. Really happy the Sens have both of these players.

Karlsson's second assist of the night, and Hoffman's 20th goal of the year (all even strength) tie the game up

Carolina scores on an odd man rush, and Lehner is injured.

With Hammond in nets, Carolina scores to make it 5-3 on the PP.

Sens lose 6-3 and lose MacArthur and Lehner to injury

I missed the game tonight, maybe for the best. Losing Lehner could be a disaster, but he hasn't really been playing lights out anyway.

Stone or Hoffman is a tough one, and interesting in that it's one of the best skaters in the league vs. a guy who has always been criticized for his skating. I'd go with Stone, because he's quite younger and seems to have better overall upside; he's big, a great playmaker, great at forcing turnovers, strong two-way player. Hoffman seems a bit one dimensional as a goal-scorer.

                            I'll take Hoffman.

I'd probably go with Stone. Basically what Matches said...he's great at forcing turnovers and driving the play. And he makes players around him better.

With that being said, I've always been a doubter of Hoffman until this season. I'm curious to see where he goes from here. You'd imagine his potential is a 30 goal scorer, but it's kind of tough to limit him to that. He has 20 goals in 52 games in his rookie season, and hasn't figured out the powerplay yet. If he can score 35 goals, can Stone be better?
