  • Kane out with upper body injury

Chicago Blackhawks right wing Patrick Kane sustained an upper-body injury at 7:49 of the first period against the Florida Panthers on Tuesday at United Center when he went hard into the boards following a cross-check by defenseman Alex Petrovic. He did not return to the game.

Chicago coach Joel Quenneville did not provide much of an update on Kane's injury after the game.

"It looks like he might miss some time, but we'll know the extent of it [Wednesday]," Quenneville said.

Bad break for the Hawks. I'd like to see Tavares come in and pick up an Art Ross. It's been a weird year for scoring, it seems like there's a lot of depth in the top scorers but no huge point producers.
