  • Game 73: Rangers @ Senators, 7:30pm

    - Hammond vs Talbot; Lundqvist backup
    - If the Sens get a point tonight, Hammond ties Lalime's record of 16 games to start an NHL career without losing in regulation
    - Rick Nash has 39 goals on the year; Karlsson is the NHL's leading scorer since mid-February
    - Sens are in a playoff spot for the first time in a long time...the Bruins play the Ducks as the Sens try to hang on to it.
    - The Rangers also have some motivation on the table...they can clinch a playoff spot tonight
    - The Rangers won the only meeting between the team so far this year, 3-2 in OT

I think Ottawa has a shot in this game if they play a full 60 minutes. No relaxing in the second period like they've been doing. Rangers have a stellar defense and a good goalie in Talbot, so it'll be tough getting goals.

The Rangers play the Sens, Bruins, and Caps in the next four days. For what it's worth, odds are low on New York beating Ottawa and then losing to Boston/Washington.

This is one of those nights when Karlsson, Ryan, and Turris all need to show up.

I'm hoping that Lundqvist's impending return throws Talbot off (unlikely).

Pretty even match so far. The Rangers really do have speed, and they manage to come at you relentlessly. Ottawa's got speed too, but they seem to still prefer gaining entry and then setting up rather than executing the same kind of systematic attack that New York does.

:( They lost in regulation time..actually, they mailed that one in. Hammond was pulled. Lazar did get a beautiful goal...but that is about all the excitement for tonight.

Bruins lost..........in OT so the pick up a point.

While this one was painfull to watch...Id much rather they lose to the Rangers...than the Leafs. So they better play a decent game on Saturday in Toronto.
