Thank you Logan Couture. Pisses me off that because of injuries, the run they just pulled.... might come to an end just like that. :(

They were playing with such confidence in front of Hammond until he got hurt.. it showed on Thursday they didn't feel as comfortable, knowing he was playing with a lingering injury. I'm not taking anything away from NY, they are fast and they dominated..but still, considering all the teams they played in the last few weeks, a healthy Hammond would have produced an entirely different game.

This is crazy. The Sens are in an absolute dogfight for the final wildcard position and might have to start their ECHL goalie because of injury.

Ok but we have to come up with some cool nickname for Driedger. It's gonna be hard to beat the Hamburglar..

    Who's in net tomorrow night??

Hammond was injured Monday when San Jose Sharks center Logan Couture slid into him and Hammond's right leg got tangled up with the post. He didn't look comfortable Thursday against the Rangers before being pulled. He was wincing when he took a seat at the end of the bench.

Craig Anderson, one of the injured goaltenders Hammond replaced, took part in an optional practice Friday and said his injured right hand is not 100 percent.

Chris Driedger, called up from the ECHL to back up Hammond after injuries to Anderson and Robin Lehner (not close to returning from a concussion), played in relief of Hammond on Thursday.

Driedger, 20, stopped the 10 shots he faced in the 23 minutes he played. That's the extent of his NHL experience.
