Chicago is the favorite. They have pretty much the same team. I hope the Sens come out of the east but Boston should take it being the most complete, physical team.

You can never count them out but I think a team like Boston is not worried about them.

*cough* Leafs *cough*
Haha, in all seriousness though, the Penguins have the best group of forwards in the league. That said though, MAF needs to have a good year. I just don't think he has it in him.

Originally posted by JoshI really do feel pretty good about Ottawa's chances this year.
Trying not to get my hopes too high, but this is a team that got to the second round largely without Spezza, Michalek, Karlsson and Cowen...Anderson also missed a chunk of time...so we get all of these players back 100% healthy, AND add Bobby Ryan.
Pretty exciting time to be a Sens fan, no?

I feel like shortly we'll look back at Alfie's departure and see it as a key piece to actually propel the team from pretender to contender. Cutting away from the past is something teams sometimes struggle to do and something the Sens probably wouldn't have done either. The abruptness of the departure is actually the best-case scenario IMO. There's no more of that, how will we fare without his leadership and the sacred "intangibles"?

By that point we had lost 2 or 3 games in the series, and the 1 win was where they basically let Alfie skate unchecked into the slot. His answer was definitely honest (which deserves some respect), but also something you don't want a captain saying when there is any chance of a comeback.
Detroit have a lot of good players with Alfie included, but I just wonder if they will get to about 55-60 games into the season and just start collapsing? There's a lot of "veteran presence" on that team and the legs may get weary.
